Author Malcolm Gladwell gives us his take on what’s behind America’s school shooting epidemic. There is no denying that it is a combination of cultured narcissism – all these platforms for self-absorption and decreased concentration span driven by technology, which is moving faster than the pace of brain usage, and finally, an entitled life in comfort. There is no longer any tolerance for ambiguities in society. But not to overstate or to complicate an obvious and very simple point: At the end of the day, isn’t it an “epidemic” because guns are available?
