As night follows day, as the strophe the antistrophe, it is almost a constant to read propaganda and reactionary inventions when one reads the writing of black writers about Africa. This is not unusual for these reasons. Many European writers from the 17th- through 19th-century had taken it for granted to write their own propaganda and negative stereotypes of African, depicting “savages” who had contributed nothing to the civilized evolution of humanity. As such, the counter-arguments would be bound to be reactionary. Another is that it is natural that a people oppressed for centuries and robbed of its self-worth would assert itself through any means necessary, including race-flight by attaching itself to greatness of the past that bears a close resemblance. But the fact is that black Africa is negroid Africa and slaves taken to the new world were taken from negroid West Africa, not the mixed East.
Cheikh Anta Diop took an obscure passage from Herodotus’ History and emerged to tell us that Egyptians (a mixed Mediterranean country and culture) were blacks and therefore Africans had founded the early Egyptian dynasties. From then blacks in America and elsewhere became convinced that Cleopatra was black, citing the faces of mummified pharaohs (that swelled by the process) as negroid. Now we know that the 25th Dynasty was a black one rule from Meroe but the European explorers and scientists who discovered Egypt’s glorious past, has never turned up any evidence to suggest a dynasty founded by black Africans. Indeed, descriptions given by black propagandist writers like the Ivan Van Sertima (They Came Before Columbus) and others, have blacks who were coraled, as slaves, by Egyptian pharaohs, as somehow the rulers and builders of the Great Steppes at Giza and elsewhere in Egypt. In many cases, nationalistic black studies from the 1970s onward have been a mimetic exercise in imbued propaganda and race-flight.
Another example is the famed Phoenician hero of the second Punic War that almost dealt defeat to Rome – Hannibal Barca of Carthage. Hannibal’s brother Hanno along with Mago were some of the first known seafarers to set sail to Africa – their mission, commissioned by the Roman Senate. Yet these great seafarers of Tyre, Sidon, and Carthage who had supplied the lumber to Solomon for the great Temple of Jerusalem and who had given the greatest resistance to Alexander The Great are now claimed by generations of blacks in America and elsewhere as a black African.
But my favorite of the incredulous reactionary nonsense is the old favorite that Europeans (whites) are really the Albino children of African mothers who were kicked out of Africa for their albinic skin. This was probably made famous in Dr. Francis Cress-Wessling’s book, The ISIS Papers, another book that championed the “Cleopatra was a black woman” theme. An otherwise good book on issues of self-hatred and abnegation and rampart decadence within the black community, it championed the far-out idea that white racism in America is the result white jealousy of black melanin (an assumption that all whites are Northern European-like fair-skinned) and envy for black motherly rejection. Like many black writers, they supply no scientific evidence to back up their theories but tell you that “X plus Y equal Z” because “I’m telling you so.” Additionally, they ignore more than a century of scientific (historical, sociological, anthropological, ethnological) evidence – history of Neanderthal migration from Africa, the different alleles originating in Africa, etc., because accepted science tends to defeat reactionary inventions.
The attached article is an example of the form of simplistic propaganda on the issue of Albinos in Africa. The author cites a few notable Africans and gives lip-service to the great superstition attached to Albinos and their continued persecution and even superstitious murders in places like Tanzania but tells us this:
“Hence, it is parochial for the international community to continue to spread a false portrayal of Africa as a place unsafe for albinos. Some media outlets in the US and Europe paint the continent as a barbaric shop dicing albinos into pieces for food. Such allegations are symptomatic of a west that is still mystified by Africa.“
In other words, it’s western propaganda to believe what we can glean from her lip-service: that Albinos have been traditionally ostracized out of superstition in Africa. The writer then moves to qualify and discredit accepted science (without offering any proof or credible source) by pointing out that:
“The turgid discrimination against Africans, which Europeans introduced, the falsification of history and the pseudo-sciences that have been practiced for centuries to entrench these belief systems has led to the issue of racialization of Africans by people of European descent.”
At this point in the article, the other-than bread dead reader will have realized that she or he is the point of departure to ultimate stupidity. Nonetheless, let’s continue.
“Are Caucasians albinos from Africa and more?”
Beyond simplistic, is it a wonder why the black intelligentsia is often laughed at for its ostentation that often offers insult to others? I always laugh at the “Strong Black Woman” moniker in America because it implies others – whites, brown, yellow, and women of foreign nations are anything but “strong.” They must be weak. But let’s keep our focus here. We’re talking about albinos, and we want to know if whites are “albinos from Africa and more.”
Referring to early European racial theorist and racist, Johann F. Blumenbach, the writer says:
“He didn’t seem to realize the following: Russia, Chechens, Armenians, and other Southern Russians were considered to have Black origins, and that the Caucasus Mountain people were largely classified as “black” in many Eastern European cultures.“
Of course, we don’t know, nor are we told, when or by which “many European cultures” were the Russians’ Chechens, and Armenians considered as black people. The writer then goes on to cite Herodotus’ mention of the Colchians as proof that,
“Blacks have lived in Southern Russia since prehistoric times and have occupied the Black Sea Region since the time of Senwosret/Sesostris (2000 BC), when African armies dominated the region.”
Herodotus mentioned the Colchians and their practice of circumcision that he believed they had gotten from the Egyptians. But history, even Herodotus’ has presented us with no evidence that the Kingdom of Colchis (modern-day Georgia) has ever had or been dominated by African Armies, either around 200 BC or at any other times. As for Herodotus, this was what he said about the Colchians:
“For it is plain to see that the Colchians are Egyptians; and what I say, I myself noted before I heard it from others. When it occurred to me, I inquired of both peoples; and the Colchians remembered the Egyptians better than the Egyptians remembered the Colchians; the Egyptians said that they considered the Colchians part of Sesostris’ army. I myself guessed it, partly because they are dark-skinned and woolly-haired; though that indeed counts for nothing, since other peoples are, too; but my better proof was that the Colchians and Egyptians and Ethiopians are the only nations that have from the first practiced circumcision.”
Now very few people have read Herodotus’s Histories, and even fewer would be bothered to decipher them. Like Cheikh Diop, the writer jumps on to the suggestion that they had dark-skin and woolly hair to claim they were black. A point, in fact, is that the antiquity described by Herodotus and which accurately describes the old world is one of mostly brown people with different variations of hair texture. This has nothing to do with black Africans. Herodotus termed blacks as Ethiopians (Ethiops = burn skin) or sometimes as Libyans. But he drew a Colchian connection to Egyptians and Ethiopians primarily because of the practice of circumcision. Of their wooly hair, he deprecatively stated that “though that indeed counts for nothing, since other peoples are, too.” But if you start from a baseline of believing that Egyptians were black Africans, then you jump at every straw to conclude that African Armies were present, had dominated the region, and the people were considered to be black. Indeed, the only thing black bout the region is that it is east of what is called the “Black” Sea.
The writer of the attached article is, unsurprisingly, highly influenced by Cheikh Anta Diop and his conjectures are equally farfetched. I describe their writings as race-flight because they do not take the time to write of the great things and great contributions to civilization by black Africa but instead, they choose to associate blacks with greatness outside of Africa. But again, we’re talking of the ridiculous pseudo-science behind the claim that Europeans are albinos driven out of Africa, so here our author cites his proof:
“The American Anthropological Association (AAA) declares there is no such thing as race – they now claim it is merely a “social construct,” in stark contrast to their belief at the beginning of the last century – that Blacks are an inferior form of Homo Sapiens. It is constructive that the AAA has now been forced to accept facts, but they still fail to take into consideration the hypothesis that Caucasians might actually be Black albinos. According to The South African Institute for Medical Research, Journal of South African Science, a review, THE HIGH FREQUENCY OF ALBINISM IN AFRICA, provides more clues to early Caucasian history. The Department of Human Genetics at the SAIMR is currently involved with numerous research projects, most related to human genetic disorders and population origins. One of these, ‘Albinism in African peoples’ having received particular attention because it offers new insights into the historical movement of peoples in sub-Saharan Africa to Europe and the origin of the Caucasian. Similar to the genetics of sickle cell anemia, albinism shows parallels as a melanin anemia. New genetic information derived from the Human Genome Project, an international effort to decode the entire human genome, confirmed to the world by scientists in the East Room of the White House (June, 2000) that Europeans only appeared in the last 65,000 years from the same small number of tribes that migrated out of Africa and colonized that part of the world. That means a caucasian is not removed any further from an African by more than the 50th cousin.”
Now, if you haven’t fallen asleep reading the above “blah blah,” you might notice the primary fallacy of this type of writing that captivate so many. They cite no scientific studies or data, yet offer much hyperbole, such as a White House East Room gathering by global scientists. But this gathering had nothing to do with migration out of Africa (scientifically accepted as somewhere between 80,000 and 120,000 years). It was to announce progress on the ability to sequence the human DNA in order to better understand and find cures for diseases. In the presence of President Bill Clinton and with British Prime Minister Tony Blair connected through video hookup, this was how President Bill Clinton introduced Dr. Francis Collins, one of the leaders of the project.
“And now I’d like to invite Dr. Francis Collins to the lectern. I also want to congratulate him. From his development of some of the central methods for finding human disease genes, to his successful application of those methods, to the discovery of the cystic fibrosis gene in 1989, to his current leadership for the International Human Genome Project, he has combined the talents of rigorous science and a profound sensitivity to ethical, legal and social issues.“
When Dr. Collins took to the lantern, this was what he said:
“Today, we deliver, ahead of schedule again, the most visible and spectacular milestone of all. Most of the sequencing of the human genome by this international consortium has been done in just the last 15 months. During that time, this consortium has developed the capacity to sequence 1,000 letters of the DNA code per second, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We have developed a map of overlapping fragments that includes 97 percent of the human genome, and we have sequenced 85 percent of this. The sequence data is of higher quality than expected with half of it in finished or near-finished form. And all of this information has been placed in public databases every 24 hours, where any scientist with an Internet connection can use it to help unravel the mysteries of human biology. Already, more than a dozen genes, responsible for diseases from deafness to kidney disease to cancer, have been identified using this resource just in the last year.“
In other words, the National Human Genome Institute gathering at the White House had nothing to do with white migration out of Africa. Yet if you google albinism and Caucasian, you will find numerous articles repeating, verbatim, the assertions put forward in the below-attached article. The more ridiculous a lie, the faster it spreads, the quicker it becomes the truth for a simple mind.
Now we get to the crux of the pseudo-science by blacks that hold that whites are Albinos driven out of Africa. Under the title, The Origination of the Caucasian, the writer explains the “scientific” basis of a belief held by many blacks in America and elsewhere that whites are former African Albinos:
“African folklore hold the belief that tribes with significant carriers of the mutated gene for albinism eventually migrated northward through Egypt to another area of Africa which is now called Europe, seeking a more hospitable living environment for their offspring – escape the intensity of the equatorial hot climate of the great river valleys and great lakes region of Central, Eastern and Southern Africa, which was then and still is South of what is now called Egypt. The “albino” group moved up in the mountainous area during the Ice Age or Glaciations period that lasted thousands of years further isolating themselves from their original parent population in Africa. And by being in such isolated living condition for such a prolonged period they also interbred (within the existing parent groups), thereby creating additional “albino” offsprings from “albino” mothers and fathers.”
The writer then goes on to be just as hyperbolic in defining the progression of recessive genes in albinic production and even cites biblical history to support his theory. It is futile to spend time debunking abject idiocy because it soon becomes idiotic even to dignify. Indeed, there is everything to convince the reasoned reader that white whites are albinos who were driven out of Africa, except of course anything that is either factual or that makes any sense at all. I could go on, but I’ll leave you to explore the rest of this nonsense. You might discover something that escapes me.
