California Locks it Down

Speaking of a blue Christmas, nearly 85% of California residents now under Stay-At-Home orders through Christmas. But this might actually be good news, as California might stem the tide that is about to toast America in the next two months – post Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year. As of Friday, the state had recorded more than 1.3 million cases and nearly 20,000 deaths. Look for New York and other states run by human beings not beholden to the tribe of sycophants to follow suit in short order. In America resistance to both science and common sense and where a biological pathogen has been politicized, it’s a combination of alienation from reality and so-called Covid-fatigue.

The election campaign season became mass-spreader events for the Trump campaign, as President Donald Trump convinced his red state acolytes that the coronavirus was a thing affecting “poorly run Democrat” states. Now, the Southwest, Midwest, Upper Midwest, and the western states are all on fire. As Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations surge and intensive care unit capacity dwindle to dangerously low levels across many states, in two months, California might well look back at its decision as the moment it dodged the bullet.
