Mestizo Warrior in a tattoo parlor where he paints Mexican history all over his body and sees other reflections of his own history around him. On one side the Mestizo Indian culture of the Aztecs and Mayan comes into contact with the Conquistador (his pregnant mother, corn, Conquistador). He is the birth of the Mestizo Warrior – a mix of native indigenous culture and Conquistador). His chest reflects the Aztec Calendar and its decimation by Hernán Cortés and his men. The legend of the Tenochtitlan – where the Golden Eagle perched on a cactus meets the snake (Mexican Coat of Arms) on his right shoulder – the triumph of good over evil in local mythology. Tattooed on his thigh is his mother giving birth to him under a cross while looking up at Jesus (on his arm), which reflects Christendom’s imposition on the natives by the Spaniards.
